Tanarra Schneider has been a designer for over 20 years. She started her career with an internship at Beit Hashoah Museum of Tolerance, designing experiences for children too young to visit the core exhibits. During this time, she sparked her interested in pursuing and understanding the human experience. Fast forward, Tanarra has worked with various organizations including Tribune Company and Goldman Sachs, but took a brief hiatus from corporate life and went to culinary school. Following culinary school, she worked for Jet Blue where she established the company’s e-learning practice- transforming how airlines teach internally. Next, she went to work for her first agency that serviced high-end clients like Cartier, Chanel, Citi Bank, Este Lauder and MAC. She then moved back to Chicago, as a freelancer working for Playboy Enterprises on the transformation of Playboy.com and other properties during her two-year tenure – honing her skills in digital design and development. She then worked with Manifest Digital in Chicago, where she serviced clients like Allstate, Sears, and Mattel – during this time, she focused on more human-centered research and business design. She left this position to do freelance work and, spent a bit of time at Critical Mass as a Digital Strategy Director, until eventually coming to Fjord in July 2014.
